ROMANS 5: 1 -2

In this study, we explore the profound truths of Romans 5:1–2: the security of salvation, the peace we now enjoy with God, and our unshakable position in grace. Paul opens Chapter 5 by emphasizing that salvation is entirely by faith, not by human performance. He warns against replacing faith with works, tradition, or self-effort, which shift focus from God’s grace. We examine two key realities for believers: first, peace with God, a permanent legal standing secured by Christ, not an emotion dependent on our behavior; second, standing in grace, a position of unmovable access to God that transforms and sustains us. Through Scripture references and commentary, we see that grace is permanent, stronger than sin, and maintained entirely by God. This study encourages believers to rest fully in Christ’s work, experiencing confidence, hope, and freedom from guilt or fear.
