Romans 5:3-4

In this Bible teaching from Romans 5:1–5 (NKJV), we explore what it means to live by faith and how faith is often replaced by works, religious tradition, or the desire to please people.

Paul teaches that we are justified by faith, brought into peace with God, and given access by faith into grace through Jesus Christ. This grace is not earned or maintained by effort, but is entered and lived in by faith alone.

This message highlights how man-pleasing quietly replaces faith. When approval or religious performance becomes our focus, we stop pleasing God and begin striving for people. Scripture reminds us that without faith it is impossible to please Him.

Trials then become the testing ground of faith. As faith endures, God produces perseverance, mature character, and enduring hope—hope that does not disappoint because the love of God is poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.
