Romans 6: 12-14
In Part 12 of our journey through the Book of Romans, we enter Romans 6 — a powerful chapter that shifts from justification by faith to the reality of sanctification.
Paul has already established that we are saved by grace alone, through faith alone. But now he addresses a crucial question: If grace abounds where sin abounds, does that mean we can continue in sin?
In this teaching, we explore:
The meaning of being “baptized into Christ’s death”
What it means that our “old man was crucified”
The difference between positional and progressive sanctification
Why sin no longer has dominion over the believer
The contrast between living under law and living under grace
This message is both grounding and freeing. It reminds us that the work of Christ is complete, while also calling us to daily present ourselves as instruments of righteousness.
As Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Join us as we continue walking verse by verse through Romans and discovering the transforming power of the Gospel.
